I Miss My Cinematography Days
Bromance- A Mockumentary from Chris Gampat on Vimeo.
If you’ve followed my work for a long time, then you probably know that I’ve forever been both a video and photo guy and depending on what the industry demands out of me, I lean more towards one or the other. That being said, I really miss the days where I used to crank out great video. Granted, those were my college days and I’ve graduated almost a year ago so things are much more serious now. And now that I’ve got the Canon 5D Mk II and temporarily have the Nikon D3s and D300s in my hands, I’m going to try to work on putting together some more videos if possible.
Just sayin’

Hey Chris, I didn’t know you were a cinematographer. What types of lighting do you use? My Son is a filmmaker and he does the cinematography for his films. It’s a lot of work but great at the same time. His passion is directing but he likes lighting and mood so he leans towards that as a second passion.
I look forward to seeing your film.
Have a great day!

Hi Theresa,
That’s a good question, I really forgot the brands of lighting that I used back then. Haven’t touched it in a while.
Tell him that HDSLR cinematography is the future and if his school can’t keep up to find his own niche.

Thanks Chris, Can you tell me what HDSLR cinematography is? He is at a dinner function tonight so I don’t want to bother him but I will let him know this week.
He works for Cracked and helps with filming. He had fun working with the crew on the series Agents of Cracked, have you seen it? It’s on DVD now. My Son is also a Graphics Artist, he created all of the dvd art. I am a proud Mom hehehe
I hope that you can get into cinematography again, the title of this post sounds like you really want to. I say go for it, no regrets!
Have a great night!
Theresa
